“Farewell Young Scout”©When an adult wears the Scout uniform, he [she] becomes a partOf our Scouting Family and every Scouter’s heart. It does not really matter if he’s in our Troop [Pack] or yours, Scouting is one Fam’ly, from our borders to our shores. A life of Leadership and Service, is the life that Scouters lead, They’re always there to lend a hand when others are in need. When Scouters do their good deeds, our hearts all fill with Pride, And all our hearts are broken when we hear a Scouter died. We never know just where or when, or whom God next will choose It hurts the most when it’s someone we’re not prepared to lose. For those of us left here on Earth, it’s hard to understand, But it’s not for us to question, the Wisdom of His plan. Though we may never understand why this happened, or how, We’ll say “Farewell Fellow Scouter, we will surely miss you now.” |
